Like any cool race car, I ended up dumping the lame factory cast header and sprung for Nick's amazing stainless/TIG header. I only run a light "stage 1" tune for good reliability, but the new part looks...the part.
Installation was complicated by a broken turbo-side stud. After destroying countless drill bits and end mills, a $10 tile bit was literally unstoppable and plowed right through the broken stud in no time! (thanks to a random, wise internet post for the idea). New studs and everything was able to be reassembled.
